The Famous Gandhi Udyan Park, Chhattisgarh

We had decided to begin our tour with the famous Gandhi Udyan Park, Chhattisgarh, which was amongst the well-known parks in the city. It was also hailed as one of the favourite spots for tourists. The place was wonderful with all its scenic beauty and peaceful environment. The park is managed by the Raipur Municipal Corporation and while visiting the place I learnt that it had undergone many changes from the day of its establishment. The park was home to some of the most uncommon trees in the world and other natural plants that were perfect to show to kids. These features made the place good for people of all ages and we relaxed in the calm and quiet environment under the shade of a tree for some time. We saw some old people sitting on the grassy land and rejuvenating in the premise. The entire park was filled with beautiful lights and water showers.

The park was close to the chief minister’s residence and situated in one of the most high profile areas of the city. We spotted different interesting places around the park and had decided to visit them after exploring each and every corner of the park. I captured some amazing snapshots of the beautiful trees and flowers in the park. The pathways in the park were tiled and suitable lights made it convenient for the visitors to roam around.

We were completely impressed by the efforts of the managing staff in the keeping the park neat and clean. The presence of clean dustbins at regular intervals in the Gandhi Udyan Park, Chhattisgarh showed the workers’ motives clearly. After spending a splendid time in the park, we decided to move to our next destination as we had a lot to cover that day. I would suggest you to visit this park at least once if you come to this state. We headed towards a famous place in the city, which was the best example of the state’s rich connection with history. On our way to the palace, we got a taste of the unique traditional practices followed in Chhattisgarh.
