A Travel by Rail and Air to Reach Hyderabad from Puri

After a long gap finally this month I got an opportunity to go on a much awaited trip to Hyderabad. The city had always been in my list of places to visit. I planned this vacation with my kids and family and made sure that the travel and staying arrangement was the best. The entire planning was done by me. We had to travel by two routes from Puri to Hyderabad.

The first route was by train from Puri to Bhubaneswar. There are many trains which run between these two cities. Out of them I booked the Puri KDJR train as it is one of the best superfast trains available. The train departs from Puri station at 6:15 AM in the morning. Bhubaneswar is only 63 km from Puri and it took 1:30 hours for the train to reach Bhubaneswar.

From Bhubaneswar we had a direct flight to Hyderabad. The airport of Bhubaneswar isn’t too far from the railway station and we reached 2 hours before the departure of our flight. Train and Flight was the best option for us to travel between Puri to Hyderabad route. On reaching the airport we completed our check in formalities and were ready to board the flight.

The excitement of the trip was already building in all of us. The kids were more excited to see new places that we had marked for this special trip. The Indigo Airlines flight in which we booked our tickets was a direct one to Hyderabad. It was a short 3 hours flight and the in flight entertainment kept us busy. The flight landed at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at 4 PM.

The flight services by Indigo were very good and the flight had in time arrival and departure. We hired a taxi from the airport to reach our hotel where we had a quick shower and lunch. We were ready to begin our adventures in the city of Hyderabad. The first place which we decided to visit was the famous Ramoji Film City. For all the lovers of Bollywood it is a must visit place.
